Volunteer With Legal Aid

The Legal Aid Society encourages volunteers with diverse backgrounds and experience levels to get involved. Volunteer attorneys, law graduates, paralegals, college graduates, college students, high school students, and committed community members play a vital role in ensuring that the legal needs of vulnerable New Yorkers are met across all of our practice areas.

If you are interested in volunteering with The Legal Aid Society, please send a resume to volunteer@legal-aid.org. In your email, please indicate the days, hours, and duration of your availability, as well as which practice area(s) you are most interested in serving. Volunteer opportunities exist in our Criminal Defense, Civil, and Juvenile Rights Practices, as well as in our administrative departments.
