The Path of a Criminal Case; Know Your Rights Session Sponsored by The Legal Aid Society

The Legal Aid Society is sponsoring a Know Your Rights session on the Path of a Criminal Case on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the College of Staten Island, 1 P Lecture Hall. Legal Aid attorneys will discuss civilian encounters with law enforcement, court proceedings, and collateral consequences of criminal charges and convictions.

Co-sponsors of the event include The Urban League, Staten Island Branch; The NAACP, Staten Island Branch; Empowerment Zone; New York City Councilwoman Debi Rose; Peace Action of Staten Island; The Percy Ellis Sutton SEEK Program; and The Academy of Retired Professors.

Legal Aid lawyers from the Criminal Practice participating in the event include: Christopher Pisciotta, Finda Gbollie, Bina Ahmad, George Santiago, Michael Rooney, Tamara Giwa, John Poppe, and Ward Oliver.
