The Legal Aid Society Will Honor Alan Levine and Mark T. Gallogly at the 34th Annual Awards Dinner on May 12

Alan Levine and Mark T. Gallogly will be honored by The Legal Aid Society at its 34th Annual Awards Dinner on May 12, 2011, at the Waldorf Astoria. The gala event promises to be the most successful in the organization's history with more than 1,000 corporate executives and leaders of the Bar attending.

Alan Levine, former Chair of The Legal aid Society and a partner at Cooley LLP where he serves on the firm's Management Committee, will receive the Servant of Justice Award for his outstanding contributions to The Legal Aid Society and his dedication to the quest for equal justice.

Mark T. Gallogly, co-founder and Managing Principal of Centerbridge Partners. Centerbridge, will receive the Theodore Roosevelt Award for outstanding service to the community.

The evening will include a live auction which will provide sponsorship opportunities to help meet the urgent legal needs of homeless and imminently homeless New Yorkers and will ultimately stabilize and revitalize our neighborhoods.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Society’s Civil Practice.
