The Legal Aid Society Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

The Legal aid Society celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a special reception on October 9, 2007. The Society honored the Latino and Hispanic employees and recognized their many accomplishments and contributions to the cause of equal justice as well as those of elected officials, judges and others in the legal community. Attending the reception at the Bronx Borough Hall were New York State Assembly Member Peter M. Rivera and New York City Council Member Miguel Martinez. City Council Majority Leader Joel Rivera served as the keynote speaker.
