Last week, The Legal Aid Society held its 38th Annual Awards Dinner, recognizing The Servants of Justice Award Honorees - Betsy and Kenneth Plevan and The Theodore Roosevelt Award Recipients, Nancy and Frederic Poses.

The event raised a record-breaking amount of funds which will further the mission of The Legal Aid Society’s Civil Practice to improve the lives of low-income New Yorkers by helping vulnerable families and individuals to obtain and maintain the basic necessities of life.

With more than 700 dedicated supporters in attendance, we celebrated 139 years of providing quality representation to low-income New Yorkers.

As our guest Mr. Frederic Poses expressed - We learn to cope with the rain in our lives. And we are here to help those who do not have the means and resources to do the same. Through your ongoing support of The Legal Aid Society, you do just that.

On behalf of over 2 million low-income New Yorkers living in New York City, and countless others throughout our nation, thank you for your ongoing support.
