Tami Steckler Named Hofstra’s 2017 Public Justice Foundation Honoree

Tamara Steckler, Attorney-in-Charge of the Juvenile Rights Practice, has been named the Maurice A. Deane School of Law’s 2017 Public Justice Foundation honoree.

Hofstra Law is recognizing her for years of devoted service to New York’s at-risk children and families at the Annual Public Justice Foundation Reception and Auction on March 8. Hofstra Law’s Public justice Foundation was established in 1988 to support and encourage students seeking work in the public sector. Run by students, PJF annually raises funds, primarily through its annual auction, to provide fellowships for students pursuing non-paid summer internships at government and not-for-profit agencies.
