The Legal Aid Society honored lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees during a special reception, commemorating Pride Month, on June 12, 2008, at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.
Speakers for the evening included Alan Van Capelle, Executive Director of the Empire State Pride Agenda & Foundation; Tom Kirdahy, a member of the Board of Directors of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center; Kimberly Forte, a staff attorney in the Manhattan Office of the Juvenile Rights Practice; and Zach Strassburger, a paralegal in the Civil Practice's Health Law Unit.
