Leigh Latimer Appointed Head of Exploitation Intervention Project

Tina Luongo, the Attorney-in-Charge of the Criminal Practice, announced that effective January 4, 2016, Leigh Latimer will take on the role of Supervising Attorney of the Exploitation Intervention Project. Leigh has been an outstanding advocate in Queens CDP for over two decades, and is a founding member of EIP. Leigh’s dedication to her clients and colleagues is unsurpassed, and EIP stands to benefit tremendously from her leadership.

Kate Mogulescu, the current EIP Supervising Attorney, will be developing a joint project with the ABA Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence to provide national training and technical assistance on post-conviction advocacy for survivors of trafficking. Kate will remain a part of the EIP team, but Leigh will assume responsibility for the primary supervision of the project. In addition, there will be an opening for an interim staff attorney on the project, to replace Leigh, which will be posted shortly.

Congratulations Leigh and the EIP team on this important development!
