Legal Aid Testifies Before NYS Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus

The Legal Aid Society testified today before the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Asian Legislative Caucus and the Assembly Standing Committees on Codes and the Judiciary on the subject of Criminal Justice Reform. Testimony was given by William Gibney, Director of the Special Litigation Unit of the Criminal Practice of The Legal Aid Society. The purpose of the hearing was to examine the need for reforms to the criminal justice system to ensure fairness, improve community/police relations, and protect the safety of law enforcement officers.
