Legal Aid's Juvenile Rights Practice Selects Staff Attorney Judy Stern For 15th Annual Charles Schinitsky Award For Outstanding Service On Behalf Of Children

The Legal Aid Society Juvenile Rights Practice's (JRP) Schinitsky Selection Committee has selected Judy Stern as the recipient for the 15th Annual Charles Schinitsky Award for Outstanding Service on behalf of children represented by JRP.

Ms. Stern is a staff attorney in JRP's Appeals Unit, and an integral member of JRP's very successful Stay/Writ Unit. She began her career as an appellate lawyer with JRP 10 years ago and was described in nominating letters by staff throughout JRP as a superb and extremely hard-working lawyer who is dedicated both to supporting the efforts of attorneys in the JRP trial offices and to achieving important victories for clients. She embodies the commitment to JRP clients and JRP ideals that this award is intended to recognize.

The award is named after Charles Schinitsky who was the founder and first Attorney-in-Charge of what was then known as the Juvenile Rights Division. The award ceremony will be on March 27, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM and RSVPs can be send to Renee Wyatt at
