The Legal Aid Society Urges The New York City Council To Adopt Bills To Address Unlawful Stops and Frisks And Abusive Arrest Patterns

The Legal Aid Society presented testimony today before the New York City Council urging the adoption of a proposed series of bills that would address the widespread stops and frisks of innocent persons and abusive arrest patterns. William Gibney, Director of the Criminal Practice's Special Litigation Unit, testified before the Council's Committee on Public Safety.
