Kim Forte to Be Honored by the New York City Bar Association’s LGBT Rights Committee

The New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights will honor Kimberly Forte on Wednesday with the Arthur S. Leonard Award for distinguished service on behalf of the LGBT community.

Forte is the Supervising Attorney for The Legal Aid Society’s LGBTQ Law and Policy Initiative. Her work focuses on all three of the Society’s Practices – Civil, Juvenile Rights and Criminal Defense.

The prestigious award will recognize Forte’s many achievements. She has served as counsel on the following cases: C.W. v. The City of New York, (EDNY), Cruz v. Zucker (SDNY), D.H. v. The City of New York (SDNY), and Holden v. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (SDNY).

Forte has been with the Society for over 16 years.
