Dan Greenbaum, Deputy Attorney-in-Charge of the Juvenile Rights Practice's Brooklyn Office, has been appointed Attorney-in-Charge of the Staten Island office. Dan began his legal career in 1985 as a staff attorney in the Brooklyn Office, joined the Appeals Unit as a rotator in 2005, and became an Assistant Attorney-in-Charge in the Brooklyn office in 2006. In 2008 Dan was promoted to become the Deputy Attorney-in-Charge.
Dan will join Teresa DeFonso, Attorney-in-Charge of the Civil Practice, and Christopher Pisciotta, the Attorney-in-Charge of the new Criminal Defense Office in Staten Island, in creating a unified Legal Aid presence in the borough to provide comprehensive services to low-income children and adults in Staten Island. The Criminal Practice recently opened an office in Staten Island on April.
