Legal Aid's Criminal Practice Special Litigation Director Serves On Panel On Police Misconduct And Civil Liability

Last night, William D. Gibney, Director of the Special Litigation Unit of The Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Practice, participated in a panel discussion on Police Misconduct and Civil Liability at the CUNY School of Law. The panel featured attorneys who file lawsuits on behalf of clients for false arrest, excessive force, false imprisonment and other civil rights violations, an attorney who has worked for the City's Office of Corporation Counsel, and a former NYPD sergeant.
