Congrats to Team LAS for Making Their Miles Matter - Raising $16,000 for the Civil Practice
Sateesh Nori and John Wroblewski

The Legal Aid Society participated as an Official Charity Partner in the 2016 United Airlines NYC Half March 20. The unique 13.1 mile tour of the Big Apple benefitted our Civil Practice.

Running for justice included: Sateesh Nori, Attorney-in-Charge of The Legal Aid Society's Queens Neighborhood Office; John Wroblewski, Deputy Director of The Legal Aid Society’s Management Information Systems; Jonathan Whitney, a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and a member of the Board of Directors of The Legal Aid Society; Maureen Dollinger, Vice President in Financial Crime Legal at Barclays; and Caitlin MacCrate, a PhD student who serves as care manager for her grandfather, Robert MacCrate, a former President of the American Bar and New York Bar Associations. Caitlin ran in the half marathon to benefit the Society in honor of her late grandmother, Constance MacCrate who died January 21.

Congrats to Team LAS for making their miles truly matter, raising nearly $16,000 for our Civil Practice—money that directly impacts the number of low-income families and individuals we can assist who would otherwise be turned away.

It’s not too late to support our runners! You can celebrate our team now through March 30th with a donation in their honor.
