Chief Judge Lippman To Present Awards at the Society's 2009 Pro Bono Awards and Law Firm Recognition Ceremony
MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2009

On Monday, October 26, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman will join The Legal Aid Society in honoring 48 law firms and three corporations during the Society's 2009 Pro Bono Awards and Law Firm Recognition Ceremony from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Espace, 635 W. 42nd Street, between 11th and 12th Avenues. Please note the change of location.

Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP will be receiving the Pro Bono Publico and Public Service Law Firm Award for the firm's exceptional commitment to the Society and its clients. The firm has expanded its pro bono commitment by serving as co-counsel on four major class action reform cases in the area of subsidized housing for low-income tenants, public assistnace benefits for low-income families, health and safety concerns of children in residential treatment centers and mental health issues of children in foster care.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at Espace, 635 W. 42nd Street between 11th and 12th Avenues from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
