For the past four years, the Bronx office of The Legal Aid Society's Juvenile Rights Practice has sponsored a Happy, Healthy Safe Families Fair at the Bronx Family Court during the month of April which is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year's fair was held on Tuesday of this week with more than 30 presenters from the Bronx, including staff from the Society's Civil and Juvenile Rights Practices who provided literature about the Society's services and answered questions from Bronx residents with court cases.

The Bronx Zoo donated 100 free passes which were handed out to families. Children were able to get their faces painted, have their pictures taken and do arts and crafts with staff from Free Arts NYC. The Legal Aid Society’s Mobile Justice Unit was parked in front of Bronx Family Court and community residents stopped by the van where Marshall Green, Attorney-in-Charge of the Bronx Neighborhood office, and Antoinette Kirwan, Staff Attorney in the Bronx office of the JRP, answered their legal questions.
