Other Post-Ingles excessive force cases: Several other incidents are presently under investigation by PRP and Ingles co-counsel. In addition, PRP has referred several more cases for pro bono representation by firms. Those filed to date include:

Lowe v. Hernandez (S.D.N.Y., No. 07-CV-00744), brought by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP against a number of staff members at the George R. Vierno Center on Rikers Island, alleging that they viciously beat the plaintiff (including striking in him in the head with a baton), then tried (and failed) to cover up the incident.

Gholson v. Molyneux (S.D.N.Y., No. 07-CV-02117), brought by Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, LLP on behalf of a prisoner whose nose was broken at the Vernon C. Bain Center (the jail barge anchored off the Bronx) after he protested the length of time it was taking to get him from the intake area to a cell. He alleges that he was told by the intake supervisor that he should report the injury as having been inflicted by another prisoner.
