Barbara Lyne

Barbara Lyne is a member of The Legal Aid Society’s Advisory Board and former member of the Board of Directors of the Society. She has been a dedicated member of the Society’s Civil Support Division for over 9 years. The Civil Support Division is dedicated to fundraising and supporting activities in the Civil Practice of The Legal Aid Society. She served as co-chair of Civil Support from 2002 – 2004 and served as co-chair of the committee’s Annual Ball several times as well as well as producing and co-chairing the auction for the Annual Awards Dinner in 2010 and 2011.

In addition to her involvement with The Legal Aid Society, Ms. Lyne is on the Board of Town Tennis Club and has been active at The Chapin School. Former employment included White & Case, Internet Search Firm and several newspapers and magazines where she was writer/editor. She also worked on the book, Charlie Wilson’s War, for several years.

Ms. Lyne has a BA from Washington University. She has been married to Mel M. Immergut since 1983 and they have one wondrous daughter, Allison W. Immergut, who is a freshman at University of Pennsylvania. She also has four incredible siblings, Susan, Daniel, Diana and Abigail.
