All of Brooklyn for senior citizens 60 years and over.
Areas of Practice
Services are provided for elderly Brooklyn residents age 60 and older with civil legal problems. Regular outreach and training is provided at designated senior citizen centers. The office also operates a pro bono wills project and routinely provides home visits and social work services.
Particular emphasis on concerns of the elderly: Eviction Prevention
Government Benefits (including public assistance, food stamps, social security, SSI, Medicaid, home care, Medicare and veterans benefits)
Rights of persons in congregate care facilities (hospitals, nursing homes and adult homes)
Family law (including elder abuse, grandparent custody and visitation and defense of Article 81 guardianship proceedings)
