Are there any other Jiggets rules?

Yes. Here are some other important rules you must follow:

  • Most people in your home must pay some money towards the rent
  • There is a limit to how much rent welfare will pay. If your rent is very high, you will have to find someone to help you pay your rent. That person will have to show pay-stubs to prove they can pay 10% of their income every month towards your rent.

How does Jiggets work?

After your application is approved, the welfare center will pay a higher amount of rent to your landlord each month. You will no longer get rent money in cash. Your grant may be recouped (you may be required to pay it back). Check with your worker to make sure welfare is paying the right amount.
