There are two kinds of health assistance you can get: Medicaid and Medicare.
Medicare is a Health Insurance Program for people 65 years of age and older, some disabled people under 65 years of age, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure treated with dialysis or a transplant).
Medicaid is health insurance for people with low-incomes. There are two kinds of Medicaid: Regular Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care. In Regular Medicaid, you can go to any doctor, hospital or clinic that takes Medicaid. The doctor bills Medicaid, and Medicaid pays the bills.
